Background

Alphaomegalearninghub Math Preparatory Course for GCE 'O' Level provides an intensive and result proven programme tailored to help international students prepare for the General Cambridge Examinations. Our programme adheres to the Singapore Examination Assessment Board requirements for the Singapore Cambridge Examinations for GCE ‘O’ levels. 

Course Tutor

Mr. Roy holds a Masters in Education (Mathematics) awarded by the National Institute of Education, Singapore. He is also a co-author of Singapore School Math textbook book published by Shinglee Publications. As an avid ex-school Math teacher with more than 15 years of teaching experience in both International and Local schools, he truly believes in translating abstract formulaes and methods into easier means of understanding for his students.

Course Objectives

  1. Prepare and provide necessary skills and knowledge in math problem solving.
  2. Enable learners develop cognitively in thought process and application of formuales in GCE O levels.
  3. Equip Learners with sufficient strategies and problem solving techniques ( topic specific ) in examinations.

Course Outline

There are a total of 3 modules covering Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry and Calculus. In each module, there are 2-5 units. The recommended duration for completion is 3-6 months, depending on learner’s learning style and ability.

The Assessment structure comprise of Unit test, Module Test and Mock Exams. At the end of the module there are 6 optional Practice exams which learners can choose to attempt in preparation for the examinations.

MODULE 1 ( ALGEBRA )

Unit 3: Polynomials and Partial Fractions ( 2 weeks )
